Groups 'Join group' card

Another feature that we have added this week is in relation to Groups.


The new feature that we have implemented is the ability for a user to select the 'Join Group' button that appears when a user navigates to a public group that they have the ability to join. This option will appear as a pop up bar located towards the bottom of the screen for the user.

Groups manage section - add ability to filter by date of last post

Another feature that we have been working on this week is in relation to Groups.


Now when a user navigates to Groups on the intranet they will be able to filter the results via 'Date of last post'. We have added this feature in the hopes that it helps you to locate your desired group and groups content sooner as opposed to previously.

Admin - custom content types

One of the features that we have implemented this week is in relation to Administration.


Now when a user navigates to administration on the intranet and goes to the 'Content' dropdown they will now be able to see a tab called 'Custom content types'. This now allows for a user with the select permissions to be able to create and edit different content types on their intranet.

Shared create button component

Another feature that we have implemented into the intranet this week is in relation to the create button


Now across the whole of the intranet for the following apps:

  • Blogs
  • Ideas
  • Groups
  • Message-Wall
  • Queries 
  • Manuals 

All of these apps now use the same 'Create' button. By implementing this feature we believe that it will help provide a more clean and simplistic look to the intranet and help users focus on the key content that you create.

Implement preview mode

Another feature that we have implemented this week is 'Preview Mode'


This feature now allows for users to be able to view any content in the following workflow state:

  • Draft
  • Needs review
  • Unpublished


On the intranet. This feature can be enabled by accessing the 'Profile menu' and selecting the 'Enable Preview Mode' button. Similarly select the same button in the same area in order to disable the preview mode.

Links widget - show/hide image

One of the features that we have implemented this week is in relation to the links widget


The feature that we have implemented now allows for users with the select permissions to be able to choose whether to enable or disable the ability for thumbnail images to display in relation to the link. Please see below the images of when the option is either enabled or disabled.

Fixed arrows logic for the global search input

Another bug fix that we have implemented this week is in relation to accessibility.


The bug that was occurring was that when a user navigated the global search screen via the keyboard the content cards were not able to be expanded via the 'enter' key instead the screen would refresh and 'no results found' would appear. This issue has since been resolved and is no longer occurring.

"Dashboard view" button is not part of the main landmark

A bug fix that we've implemented this week is in relation to the "Dashboard view"


The problem that was occurring was that the  "Dashboard view"  button has a landmark however is outside the main landmark. As a result this can cause issues for users of screen readers which we do not want to do and as a result has now been resolved and can be found within the main landmark.

All content widget - groups are not shown

One of the bug fixes we have implemented this week is in relation to the all contents widget.


The problem that was occurring was that when a user with the select permission chose to add the all content widget and selected groups along with others to display then the bug that would occur was that groups would not display for users. However, this issue has now been resolved and no longer occurs.

Manual duplicate 'clone of'

Another bug fix that we have implemented this week is in relation to the cloning of a manual/manual page.


The issue that was occurring was that when a user with the select permissions tried to clone either a manual or a manual page they would then be presented with empty screens. As a result this issue has now been fixed and is no longer occurring. Cloning a manual/manual page now works as expected.

Navigation widget should display only published

One of the bug fixes that have been resolved this week is in relation to the Navigation widget.


The problem that was occurring was that the navigation menu was displaying menu items which were in the draft workflow status which was not expected. As a result this could cause confusion for users of the intranet. However, this issue has now been resolved and is no longer occurring.

Restyled DT card

Another feature that we have implemented this week is in relation to decision trees.


We have now updated the style for the decision tree cards when a user with the select permissions navigates to the 'Decision tree' app on the intranet and creates one. The following is the new UX changes that we have implemented:

  • Moved the question numbers to the top of the question box
  • Added a more defined border to the WYSIWYG, and repositioned form fields to reduce clatter.

Add link to comment author

Another feature that we have implemented this week is in relation to commenting.


The feature that we have added is the ability for users to click on a users name in a comment and then be redirected to that users profile on the intranet. As a result any user of the intranet is now able to select a user of their choosing a comment card and be redirected. We believe that by implementing this feature it will be able to save users time to navigate to other users profile screens as opposed to using the global search in order to locate their profile.

Read only access

This week one of the new features we have implemented into the intranet is the in relation to 'Read only access' permissions.


We have now added the 'Read-only' access page. This page allows webmasters to configure which users should only get 'Read only' access within the intranet. 'Read only' access means that the user can view pages on the intranet but does not have the ability to interact with the content such as likes and comments etc.

Main menu drawer updates when changing workflow of menus

Another bug fix that we have resolved this week is in relation to the main menu on the intranet.


The issue that was occurring was that when a user changed the workflow state of a menu to 'draft' and then saved it then the menu item would still appear in the main menu. As a result this bug had to be resolved which it now is and the problem is no longer occurring.

Content titles displays as a H2 tag

One of the bug fix's that we have implemented this week is in relation to the content title on the intranet.


The issue that was occurring was that when a user would create a piece of content and add their title then when it would display it was in H2. This was evidently a bug as it was supposed to display as H1 and can cause issues for users of screen readers. This issue has now been resolved and is no longer occurring.

Fixed create web-form aria label

Another bug fix that we have implemented this week is in relation to webforms.


The bug that was occurring was that the aria labels for the webforms were not up to date. As a result this could cause for users of screen readers along with other users of the intranet that require our accessibility standards. As a result of this we quickly implemented a fix and now this bug has been resolved.

Teams admin revoke

Another bug fix that we have resolved this week is in relation to teams on the intranet.


The big fix that we have resolved is that a user was able to have their permissions changed to being an admin of a team. However there was not the ability for an admin of a team on the intranet to be revoked. This issue has now been resolved and the problem no longer occurs.

Default filters

one of the bug fixes that we have implemented this week is in relation to filters


The bug that was occurring was that when a user navigates to an area on the intranet where they have the ability to apply filters then some filters have already been applied. As a result of the big fix this issue has now been resolved and now all filters are applied by default until the user filters otherwise. This issue has been resolved for the following apps:

  • queries
