Your very own “Never Log” list for emails

Trust is the only priority here at Akooda. That’s why we work hard to break down the entire footprint to get a truthful and transparent representation of your company’s operations. And work even harder to do so while keeping your privacy and security.

That said, there’s a part of the footprint that should be left in the dark. An intentional blindspot that includes correspondence with and on applicants, attorneys, CPAs, and other service providers that should not be shared with a third party.

A while back we released a fully configurable Gmail connector, so you can decide on your end how to share the email with Akooda (such as forward rules). This announcement included a matching and optional Chrome extension to send emails on demand.

As a direct follow-up and an additional safety precaution, you can now set a guardrail on the Akooda side in the form of a blacklist, aka “Never Log” list for your organization. The rules of this list brutally enforce that no matching email will ever be accessed by our engine.

If you have or plan to have Gmail connected and wish to learn more about how to get that done, reach out to your CSM and get the full rundown.

Works wherever work gets done

Do you recall our announcements about the Organizations and People APIs? Today, we launch our Interactions API allowing our customers to bring data from ANY of their company's work apps.

Workplace data is ubiquitous. Until Akooda, wrangling data across apps has been a nightmare — after all, there are over thousands of work apps, and the number is ever-increasing.

Let’s look at Akooda on Akooda, for example. We dogfood everything, so our team uses all our native connectors - from Google Workspace and Slack to CRM tools and GitHub. Yes - all. of. them.

And we're not alone: the average company uses >15 work apps, all of which need to find their way into Akooda in order to cover the full breadth of the digital footprint. To get as close as possible to the ground truth.

But how do we guarantee all apps are in sync with Akooda, even the most exotic ones? With the newest APIs, "you do you" and work wherever you want to work. Syncing to a not-yet-supported app has never been easier.

Microsoft is on the rise and the 365 connectors are in

Today, we are happy to announce that Akooda now supports SharePoint and OneDrive.

Now with OpenAI around every corner, is it the Era of Microsoft (again)? We're excited to see what's next in store and are working day-in-day-out to bring in the entire Microsoft 365 suite.

If you are using SharePoint and OneDrive you already know that it holds an invaluable share of your company knowledge - across all teams and departments. From strategic roadmaps to daily meeting summaries. From marketing one-pagers to detailed excel data sheets about your product.

Connecting to MSFT is simple. Just navigate to the apps settings page and click through the flow.

Focus on what best suits you

As Akooda grows and introduces new features, people in your organization may find new and different ways to use it to improve the company’s operations and day-to-day work.

We at Akooda, want each person to have the best and most tailored experience of the platform. This is why we are introducing new ways for you to manage users. Each user can now be assigned one of four different roles, each focusing on different aspects of the platform - Viewer, Analyst, Integration Admin, and Account Admin. You can read more about the different roles in the People Management guide

Assigning roles is easy. Simply go to the Settings > People page and select the appropriate role for each user.

In addition, we're excited to announce that we're refreshing our in-app navigation to support the new user roles and improve overall usability. Existing pages have been recognized to better align with the right context and emphasize the most useful pages for the majority of users. This ensures that you can easily access the insights that matter most to you.

If you ever find yourself unsure about how to locate a specific feature or page, don't hesitate to visit our user guide.

Personalize your Akooda experience

In today's fast-paced business world, managers are inundated with an overwhelming amount of data and content, making it challenging to find what is truly relevant to them. Personalization is key in cutting through this information overload and presenting managers with nothing but the most valuable and useful information.

That's why Akooda is taking another step toward a fully personalized experience and is introducing the "Follow" page. With it, you can now keep track of all the entities you are following, in one convenient place. This includes people, organizations, teams, topics, and other entities you have chosen to follow or that the system has chosen for you. You can also use this page easily manage them, as well as discover new entities that may be of interest.
In addition to the “Follow” page, entities can also be followed straight from their directory’s profile pages.

Go to the Follow page in the setting menu and check it out.
