GMB Review Verification Audit

Summary
All accounts now have direct access to new functionality that triggers a consistent monthly verification of existing reviews to identify any that have been removed.

Background
LocalClarity connects to Google, Facebook, TrustPilot, and dozens of other review platforms to collect reviews and responses. There are, however, circumstances where reviews are removed - either by the platform automatically or by the original reviewer.

We are enhancing the platform to better account for these circumstances via monthly review sync audits by verifying the status of current reviews. Any reviews that no longer exist on the destination source (starting with Google) will be marked as removed in the LocalClarity platform.

Where
The setting to turn on Review Audit/Sync can be found in Settings > Review Settings. If you toggle on the functionality directly you may receive a message asking that you contact Customer Support. The initial fetch can trigger a significant data request to Google so we need to manage the cadence of the initial audits.

Details
Turning on this process will immediately kick off a new initial audit. This initial audit with reach out to Google to verify the continued existence of the most recent 3,000 reviews per location.  If any reviews previously received into the LocalClarity platform are not verified, we mark that review as "Detected as Removed from Google".

In the example above, a review received on Jan 23, 2022 was identified as removed on Jan 25, 2022. While the rating and comments remain available, the review is removed from all KPIs and quantitative reporting so that LocalClarity matches the publicly presented review totals and average.

After the initial audit, each account's reviews are validated on a monthly schedule (every 30 days after turning on the workflow). The platform checks the most recent 500 reviews per location.

Next Steps
We will be providing greater visibility to the cadence of audits and additional control on the timing for each profile.

GMB Review Audit/Sync

Automatically identifying and marking removed reviews.

LocalClarity connects to Google, Facebook, TrustPilot, and dozens of other review platforms to collect reviews and responses. There are, however, circumstances where reviews are removed - either by the platform automatically or by the original reviewer.

We are enhancing the platform to better account for these circumstances via scheduled review sync audits. Essentially, we will be fetching every current and historic review for every location in a profile and comparing it to our current data set. Any reviews that no longer exist on the destination source (starting with Google) will be marked as removed in the LocalClarity platform.

The review content will be accessible via download, but the ratings will no longer be part of KPIs metrics. This will allow all locations total to match the destination source while giving users visibility to the changes.

This project is expected to roll out in January.

Recurring Review Purge

Summary:

Our newest improvement to Review Management is to make sure you always receive the most accurate reviews when accessing your ReviewsInbox™ data.

Background:

The Review Synchronization feature makes sure that you are always seeing the most accurate data in LocalClarity. This is done by checking Google's database for any reviews that may have been removed or updated. This feature is not automatically turned on and requires you to opt into both.

Details:

To turn on Review Synchronization, start in your Settings Tab and go toward the Review Settings section. From there scroll down until you see the Review Synchronization. You then can toggle these settings on and off. Make sure you scroll all the way to the bottom to save the turning on of these features. Once saved, LocalClarity will begin to re-index your reviews to make sure that the data reflects the updated and removed reviews. You have now successfully set up a regular review resynchronization for your listings.

Ability to Schedule All Google Post Types

Summary
We have updated the Google Post creation process triggered from the Manage Locations workflow to now offer the ability to schedule all Post types.

Background
Previously eligible for the standard "What's New" post type, users can schedule Offer and Event posts.

Where
Users can schedule Posts from the Manage Locations module. The menu bar is triggered when one or more location checkboxes are selected.

Details
Posts can be scheduled for a one-time event or even for a recurring public cadence. We have also added the ability to set the time zone for the publishing time. Previously, users needed to set the time based exclusively on the UTC time structure.

What's Next
We are working on a full preview pane so that users will have perfect visibility to the Post structure prior to publishing.

Google Posts Link Validation

Summary
Users can now double-check the dynamic URL builder when publishing Google Posts in bulk.

Background
The dynamic URL tool creates a unique call-to-action link for each post but users needed to be very careful to structure the right base link and UTM parameters.

Where
The Generate Preview Link button is available in the Manage Locations posts workflow. It presents when a call-to-action link is selected for a post.

Details
Clicking the Generate Preview Link will trigger a pop-up window for the web page destination of the dynamic URL using the location variables from the first location record. You should check that this is the intended landing page for the link AND that the UTM tracking parameters are populated as intended.

If the link is not a valid URL an error message will be presented.
