Reviews - Additional Data Points

Summary

In this update, additional data points will be included in all review reporting and download files. This enhancement aims to provide the necessary data points for validating reports and downloads.

Background

This enhancement for added review record table additions is adding complexity to all aspects of review reporting.

Details

Four additional fields will be added to the review record table. These include the country of review for Apple App Store, the app version for Google Play, the date of experience for TripAdvisor, and the review receipt timestamp. The receipt timestamp indicates the moment when the LocalClarity platform recorded the review and is crucial for accurately establishing timelines, particularly in cases where Google releases a review to us through the API long after its creation. These fields will be available in the review download, providing a comprehensive view of each review.

What's Next

The next step involves working on the presentation design for a future update. For any further inquiries regarding this enhancement, please don't hesitate to contact us at support@localclarity.com.

Review Timestamp Data

Summary

All review reporting and download files will now be updated with additional data points related to each of the timestamps for each review record.

Background

The recent enhancement for review timestamp location is adding complexity to all aspects of review reporting. Even the idea of 'all the reviews from yesterday' takes on a different meaning depending on the time zone for each of the locations in the report. This update provides access to the data points necessary to validate all reports and downloads.

Details

In Review Settings, users can decide whether to report reviews using UTC or the local time zone of each location.

If set to Time Zone of Location, the platform will append the equivalent local time for the review. To see the details, there are now four (4) columns in each review download file:

CreateDate(UTC)
The date and time of the original review in UTC and remains static for the review record.

CreateDateLocal
The date of the original review adjusted for the calculated time zone for the location. If the platform cannot determine the correct time zone, this field will populate with the UTC time stamp of the review.

Date(UTC)
This record represents the most recent date and time of the review. It will either match the CreateDate or reflect the most recent review update received.

DateLocal
This record represents the most recent date and time of the review, adjust for the time zone of the location. It will either match the CreateDate or reflect the most recent review update received.

The column order has also been updated to organize the fields more logically.

What's Next

The extra data will help us build custom reporting with greater visibility to localized times zones and the existence of any reviews initially held by Google and later released. If you have any questions about this enhancement, please feel free to reach out to us at support@localclarity.com.

ReviewsInbox @Group Visibility

Summary

The latest update to the ReviewsInbox feature now enables users to easily view and access the group assignments for each location. With this update, users can now see their location's group tag displayed within the header detail, providing greater visibility to their filters.

Background

Previously, users had to navigate through multiple screens to view their group assignments for a particular location. However, with this update, users can now quickly and easily view the group assignments directly from the ReviewsInbox detail header.

Details

When in the ReviewsInbox, users will now see their location's group tag within the header detail. This new feature is particularly useful for businesses with multiple locations, as it allows them to view their location's group tag at a glance and prioritize their responses accordingly.

What's Next

Looking ahead, we plan to make this feature a customizable item setting. This will give users even greater control over how they view and manage their reviews, allowing them to tailor the ReviewsInbox feature to their specific needs and preferences.

Image Data Points - Additions

Summary

We're excited to announce an update to our image download files that will make it easier than ever to keep track of which images belong to which locations.

Details

Specifically, we will be adding two new fields to our image download files: Store Code and Google PlaceIds. These fields will provide you with valuable information that can help you better organize your images and ensure that they are properly attributed to the correct locations.

The Store Code field will allow you to quickly identify which store each image belongs to. This can be especially helpful if you manage multiple locations and want to make sure that your images are sorted correctly. Meanwhile, the Google PlaceIds field will provide you with a unique identifier for each location, making it easier to link your images to the appropriate listings on Google.

What's Next

With these new fields added to our image download files, you'll be able to more easily manage your images and ensure that they are properly attributed to the right locations.

If you need help figuring out which images are currently showing to the public for your locations, don't hesitate to contact our support team at support@localclarity.com for more information on our Image Audit report. We're always here to help!.

Review Data Points - Additions

Summary

To support greater transparency to the full timeline history of each review, the LocalClarity platform is now documenting the initial fetch time (the time the platform first records receipt into our database).

Background

A number of LocalClarity clients recently reported an apparent issue. They had responded to all negative reviews from the prior week, but now they see in the ReviewsInbox™ a 'new' review from last week that does have a response.

This situation is typically caused by a publishing and/or editorial review delay at Google. For some reason, Google holds the review and then decides to release it with the original create timestamp. In order to provide visibility to both the create date and the release date, we have added a new field call FetchDate(UTC).

Details

At times Google will hold a review before publishing it. Most often Google is reviewing the review for any malicious or spam content before posting. When posted, the review has its original date-  creating issues in responding to reviews systematically, as a review that was held could be missed.

This is why LocalClarity has added the Fetch(UTC) date in the Review Download file. This shows the time that Google released the review and LocalClarity received it. The Fetch date combined with the Date(UTC) and CreateDate(UTC) time provided gives a complete history of the review and removes any guesswork as to why the review was initially not responded to.

What's Next

We are excited to continue rolling out enhancements to our ReviewsInbox to ensure the highest level of data integrity for our clients. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at support@localclarity.com!
