Midweek Mentions

Added 'Bookmarked' and 'Like/Saved' filter options to Manage Comments screen

A feature that we have now implemented onto the intranet is related to the management of comments.

The feature can be found on the Manage comments screen accessed via Manage content and it allows users to filter the comments they have bookmarked or liked/saved.

Induction reporting

Another new feature that we have implemented this week has been in relation to induction progress reporting.

This feature can be found within the 'Administration' section of the intranet and can be used to view the activity of users completing induction onboarding tasks and gain insights into their progress.

Admin: Export screen

One of the new features that we have implemented this week is the ability to export data related to users, teams, locations, and job roles.


This feature can be found in Administration under the 'Intranet tools' dropdown. It allows administrators to export data as a CSV file which can then be easily imported into another application.

Design widget - Added vertical alignment

Another feature that is now available to users is the ability to align text and images vertically in the Design widget.

The feature can be accessed by selecting the text or image in the design widget you would like to change the placement of, then selecting the 'Layout' option in the WYSIWYG toolbar. This allows users to have full control over the design they are creating.

Correct spacing of Location/Team home

One issue we have fixed is the spacing of the home screen for both Location and Teams.


The issue that was occurring was that there was inconsistency between the spacing of the two. As a result we at Invotra decided that this did not reflect the level of consistency that we want to maintain with the intranet to help provide users with as professional of a look & feel as possible. This issue issue has now been resolved.

Group doc - archived group docs are shown in search results counts

Another bug fix that we have resolved this week is in relation to Group documents that have been archived. 


The issue that was occurring was that if a user had created a Group document and had chosen to save it in an archived state then when it was searched for; the search results page would still display the Group document. This is bug has now been fixed and no longer prevails.

Fix news featured image issue

We have been working on many bug fixes this week, one of which was in relation to the News featured image issue.


The issue that was occurring was that, when a user would try and delete an existing featured image in the news edit screen, the image is deleted but user is presented with file library dialog. Then when the user clicks the 'files' tab the dialog disappears and closes.

Update interactions widget and remove the rating option

One fix that we have resolved this week is in relation to the Interactions Widget.


The fix that we have implemented is the 'Rating option'. This has now been replaced with the user to have abilities for likes. We believe that by doing this it will help provide a better user experience for all users across the intranet and provide a more clean and seamless look.

Cloning Ideas/Queries - Title has to be as clone of (Title)

Another bug fix that we have resolved this week is in relation to the cloning of IDeas/Queries.


The issue that would occur is that when a user would choose to clone either a Idea or Query then the title of the original content would be carried straight over. This is not what should be occurring. Instead what should appear for the user in the title field is 'Clone of .......'. As a result this could cause confusion for other users of the intranet when there are multiple pieces of content with the same title. This issue has now been resolved.

Bugs on Search and Content view

A bug that has been resolved this week was has been for both Search and Content view. 


The issue that was occurring for Search, was that when the expanded search option is disabled and the user selects the icon in order to open the search screen then it would not display at full height. Please see image below.

The other bug that was occurring was that when a user changes the intranet background colour then it should be applied to all screens except for Create/Edit screens, Search screens and Content type screens. This was not the case. However both of these issues have now been resolved.

Filter drawer fills full screen height

One of the bug fixes that we have resolved this week was an issue relating to some filter drawers on the intranet.


The issue that was occurring was that the filter drawer would not fill out all of the page as expected but instead would only take up half of the page. As a result this meant there was a lack of consistency for the filter drawers across the intranet as some would take up half of the page and others would take up the full page. This issue has now been resolved and the filter drawers can be seen along the whole of the page.

Added webforms rename possibility

Another new feature that we have implemented this week is in relation to Webforms.


Now we have added the ability for users to be able to rename any Webform that is created. This is to help users of the Webform functionality to be able to easily distinguish between different Webforms that have been created. Please see the image below of where the Webform rename is located:

Admin-New starter time frame screen

Another new feature that we have implemented this week is in relation to the 'New stater' time frame that we have now implemented to the intranet.


This feature can now be found within 'administration' on the intranet and can be used to help target content to new users of the intranet and set the relevant number of days or weeks that you would like your content to be targeted at these new users. This new feature can be found under 'Custom Tours' on the 'LHS' (Left Hand Side) of Administration.

We believe by implementing this new feature it will be able to provide users of the intranet with a better experience and allow users of the intranet with select permissions to be able to target the specific content that they would like to new starters of the intranet.

This week one of the new features that we have implemented has been in relation to 'Empty-state' screens for all of our directory apps (Location, Teams & People).


What has now been implemented is clear icons along with instructions to help aid the user in how to get started and get the most functionality out of all of the different directory apps that we have on the intranet. Please see below the some examples of the new icons that can be found on the intranet.

Add parent for manual page in breadcrumbs in content view screen

A feature that we have now implemented onto the intranet this week has been in relation to the breadcrumbs for Manual page.


What has been implemented is that when a user goes to view an individual manual page they will now be able to see the parent manual in relation to it. We have implemented in the hopes that it makes a better user experience and is able to save time for the user when they are looking at different manuals on the intranet. Another feature that is now available for users to take advantage of is the ability to clone a piece of content from a revision.


This is now available for all content types and users can clone a piece of content that is a revision of the original. This has been implemented in the hopes that it provides a better user experience for users of the intranet along with providing a more efficient way of creating content for all content types.
