We currently support the Interactive Trader Workstation version 10.19.2l. It can be downloaded from the Interactive Brokers download page for the Offline Installer https://www.interactivebrokers.co.uk/de/trading/tws-offline-stable.php.
After downloading the installer, run the installer and follow the instructions. At the end of the installation wizard you can check to run the Trader Workstation immediately after the installation has finished.
Once you started the Trader Workstation and logged into it with your credentials navigate to the Edit -> Global Configuration menu item.
On the API -> Settings page perform the following steps:
- Check the Enable ActiveX and Socket Clients checkbox
- Deactivate the Read-Only API checkbox
- Check the Socket port. Default is 7496 and OptraBot will connect to this port by default. If you change the port here you must adjust it in the OptraBot configuration as well
On the API -> Precautions page activate the Bypass Order Precautions for API Orders checkbox.
Confirm these settings by pressing OK.
