My wife and I have been running our dance studio for six years, and we strongly believe in what DA:NCE coalition stands for. Full disclosure, I'm not a dancer (my wife, on the other hand, is a beautiful dancer). However, as a Software Engineer, I have experience with web development and SEO and I understand the value of linking back to DA:NCE coalition's website. We can increase awareness by adding DA:NCE Coalition's logo with a link back to https://www.danceawareness.com/coalition/. This not only allows them to find details about the coalition from our website, but will also rank DA:NCE coalition's website higher in Google/Bing rankings.
With your permission, I would like to add a link back to your website using the DA:NCE coalition logo in hopes that it provides additional awareness.
Hi Andrew. This is a wonderful idea and we have several studios already doing what you have described. Feel free to email me at marlita@danceawareness.com and I can send you a digital file of the logo to include on your website.
I suggest that Dance Awareness approach Costume companies to discuss the issue of appropriate costuming for children. If costume companies take on policies that do not allow for inappropriate costumes for children it will make it harder for schools to find them and show the costume companies as leaders in protecting children
Joanne, I agree this is definitely an aspect of this ecosystem we should address!
