We are really excited for this release! Our order panel and in-chart trading are more convenient to use! Buy is now blue, Sell is still red, Stop Loss is no longer red, but yellow, and Take Profit is green. This color-coding we'll stick to going forward.

Order Panel

• Streamlined Quantity input. Switching between inputting quantity in base and portfolio currency
• Protections completely redesigned
• Added Quick options with dual functionality 
  • click sets the risk, but as market moves, does not recalculate the position size, double click fixes the risk and recalculates position size until position is opened or protections edited manually
• Position defaults cause PnL highlight

In-chart

• completely redesigned creation mode and live mode.
• Popups on both protections and position provide all important options to manage and place position straight from the chart
• added feature "auto rebalance" for multiple protections of the same kind. This will set closing quantity fixed at 100% and as you drag one protection, all other protections of the same kind get readjusted
• Protections have quick action buttons in chart that add multiple functionality compared to Order Panel (the information is supposed to be complimentary, not duplicated)
• Buy / Sell button is placed on position line directly in the chart

Now our you have ability to place trades via Order Panel, hotkeys and in-chart, all three providing unique experience, are fully complimentary and provide fast and highly customized trade execution options.

Hey Traders,

New features were just added to the Live Trading Terminal:

1. Price movements can be seen in the candles on the charts - this will help you understand how price is formed. It also makes charts closer to what you're used to

2. Watchlists - they come with 20 pre-populated assets. You can copy, delete or edit the default watchlist to keep track of what’s important to you. Editing is simple - just drag the asset or section divider to the desired place.To access any of this just open the Instant Live Trading page. We have more in store.

Hey Traders,

We’ve been working on changes to the Trading Terminal which will be fully released soon and will make trading actions unified across the platform. For this week we released: 

1. Additions to positions editing and activation hotkeys:

Setting up the trade:

• Alt + Enter - confirms trade and opens position / manually closes open and selected position
• Alt + left/right arrows - edits position margin while setting up new trade

Editing protections:

• Alt + up/down arrows - moves Stop Loss tool on chart
• Shift + up/down arrows - moves Take Profit tool on chart

2. Improvements to drawings

•  Color picker popup now has extended and improved palette

3. Hints on how the Trading Terminal will look like:

• Live Trading now shares the same view as Manual Backtester - Trading Terminal
• Right side bar now has Asset Info menu - applicable to Trading Terminal
• Clickable elements (timeframes, table tabs, buttons, etc) in Trading Terminal got unified design

4. Other:

• Escape resets selected drawing type in left panel to Cursor
• If you clicked on open/closed position and you are watching that position - pressing Escape gets you out of there

A new batch of details are now better in the platform, mainly focused on Manual Backtesting, but should aid all trading.

Charting:

• in Charts we added several subtypes of Trend Line Drawings: Horizontal Line/Ray, Vertical Line, Trend Angle & Cross Line
• Manual Backtester now has a new side bar: Shortcuts, listing all available keyboard shortcuts available in Manual Backtesting and some available in all Charts
• Manual Backtester save button is now showing if any changes were made in the backtest you were working on, and can be also reverted from the Menu next to the "Save" button
• some statistics for commissions or PnL now include explicit sign to show in which direction is it moving
• improved chart navigation in some scenarios when switching between various Time Frames

Live trading:

• fixes for position tracking in OKX Live Trading

Statistics:

• minor fixes for few Statistics of Manual Backtests (values for old Manual Backtests are fixed retroactively) - no need to take any action

Soon enough we'll move away from improving the Manual Backtester to changes that affect all backtesting and trading. Looking forward to helping you trade better.

Our charts are becoming easier and mightier to use, especially for Manual Backtesting. We have a few important updates:

• new tool in chart- Lock
  • all drawing tools now include option to Lock individual drawings, which will make them fixed
  • in right side bar you can find button to Lock all Chart tools at once
• new tool in chart - Stay in Drawing mode
  • switching this toggle button on will keep your selected drawing tool selected after you finish drawing
  • for Free Draw tool this mode is activated automatically
• new tool in Chart - Remove objects
  • allowing with a single click to remove all drawings or indicators (or both)
• many Strategy Checklist improvements in Manual Backtester, including shortcuts and visual updates
• some Chart tools now include toggle option to enable or disable background or border for drawings where applicable (Rectangle, Text, Quadrilateral…)
• Chart tools now have highlight effect on draggable points when hovered or selected, including highlighting all points when tool is selected

• improved Chart "candles popping into existence" when scrolling quickly to the sides, by introducing data preloading
• improved scroll-ability of some popups and elements especially affecting smaller screen sizes
• charts now have min and max zoom levels to make switching between timeframes more convenient
