Create a Funnel

First things first. Click "create funnel."

Now your newborn funnel needs a name! Click the pencil icon to get started.

Already have a funnel that you love? Hover over the corresponding meatball menu of the funnel on your Funnels pages and select “Copy funnel” to quickly make a copy of the funnel and all offers.

You can also copy a funnel by clicking on the pencil icon associated with the original funnel on the Funknkfnels page. Then, hover over the meatball menu and click "Copy funnel".

You can change the product for each offer at this time, as well. Please note, you can only change the product upon copying. Only the offer settings and design may be changed once the funnel is copied.

Set Funnel Criteria

Select at least one criteria for when your post-purchase offers will display.

When configuring funnel criteria, users can create unlimited additional rules, including:

  • Cart contents
  • Order value
  • Cart item count
  • Shipping Location (for users on the Scale and Enterprise Plans)
  • Customer Tags (for users on the Scale and Enterprise Plans)
    • Note: Tags sync every 10 minutes, so there may be a delay of up to 10 minutes after a tag has been created before it's available for a funnel.
    • Note: Only the most recent 250 tags will be available to use.
    • Note: If your store allows customers to check out with only a phone number, you may end up with duplicate records for a single customer—one with just an email address and one with just a phone number. Be sure both are tagged for your funnels to fire appropriately!

Choose to trigger the post-purchase funnel when ANY of the following criteria you set are met or when ALL criteria are met

  • When the customer cart contains any/all or does not contain any/all selected products or variants, products in collections, or products with specific tags
    • NOTE: If you are having trouble finding what you're looking for, search by full product, collection or tag name
  • When the order value is above, below or equal to a dollar amount (note, this is the entire order value including discounts, shipping, taxes, etc.)
  • When the cart contains above, below or equal to a number of items

If you want your offers to display only when ALL criteria are met, you'll need to set it to ALL in the settings. If you want your offers to display when ANY of the chosen criteria are met, set it to ANY.

This also goes for individual criteria.

In the screenshot above, you’ll see we’ve selected ANY. When this is the selected criteria, your offers will display when ANY of the products are added to the cart. That option can also be set to ALL, requiring ALL of the products to be purchased for the funnel to trigger.

Setting your Funnel Priority

Think of a pyramid when deciding funnel priority. You want your most specific funnels on top and the most general funnels on the bottom. This will maximize the effectiveness of each funnel.

Setting priority also lets you choose which funnel to display if multiple funnels share the same criteria. For example, if your customer buys a particular product, you can choose which funnel has priority if Funnel A and Funnel B are both set to display. Click on any funnel, scroll to the bottom to the Priority section, then click "Change."

You can always change the priority of your funnels if you have more than one.

Then, simply drag and drop the priority order.

You can also do this from the high-level funnels page by clicking on "Manage Priority".

Note: If the offers in a priority funnel are skipped (due to lack of inventory or if "hide offer if product in initial order" is selected), the next priority funnel will be displayed, if exists based on criteria.
