This template has been optimized for all email clients as well as both desktop and mobile viewing.

We highly recommend all merchants switch to using the Responsive Template for email communications. To maximize engagement and conversion on your restock notifications, you need your emails to look as professional as possible, and this template blows the previous ones out of the water! 🌊


Follow these steps to start using the new template:
  1. In the Back In Stock app, go to the Design page.

  2. Next, click on Email template.

  3. Scroll down and you'll see various options which you can use to customize your email template like shop name, header, content etc.

  4. When you're happy with everything, click on Save.

You can scroll down further to edit the text on your email and view the merge fields (e.g. {{product_link}} personalises the link in the template for each specific product).


How to customise the template

The new template is much easier to customise and comes pre-filled with editable content. You can view a live preview of your template on the left side of your settings. Make sure to click save when you're finished editing!

 

  1. Make sure the email format is set to "Text".

  2. Here you can change the logo by simply uploading your desired file.

  3. The email heading is positioned above the product image.

  4. The body of the email is positioned underneath the product image. Make sure the email content does not contain the {{product_link}} merge field otherwise the buy button will appear twice. This is because the responsive template already has the buy button pre-integrated!



  5. Here you can customise the pre-integrated buy button. To increase your conversion rate, set the button to take customers to the cart page.

  6. To comply with international privacy laws you cannot edit the footer of the email or remove the unsubscribe button. If you'd like to change the language of the footer, reach out to our support team.


Tip 💡: Use a custom "From" email address to make your emails even more professional and increase engagement

By default your emails are sent from notifications@shopifybackinstockapp.com. Merchants on the Starter ($20/month), Pro ($45/month) and Enterprise ($200/month) plans can choose their own "From" email address to add more professionalism to their communications.


Your customers are more likely to trust and convert on notifications from your email address.
