1.6.16 Release

Today we are happy to announce that we are releasing the new 1.6.16 version of our app.

New integration: Looped in

The biggest goal for us here at HulkApps is to make our merchants’ lives easier and their businesses more successful. We have made that process more straightforward after years of adding features according to the merchants’ inputs with our Public Roadmaps!

Recent Improvement: Wishlist button load time

We're always making changes and updates to our app. A notable improvement released on 4th May in version 1.6.11 includes the performance of your Wishlist button. 

Merchants have often enquired why their wishlist button takes longer to load. The simple answer to this query is that we were triggering the button using API calls which are used to trigger only after the full page elements load.

Earlier wishlist page loaded then button loaded on page refresh. In our effort of making your wishlist journey more seamless, we've worked tirelessly to better our logic so the time gap between the stopping of the loading spinner and the display of the wishlist button is less than 0.5 seconds. 

We've been able to achieve this by storing metadata in your stores to load the button. 

In order to customize the button, Vintage theme Settings are available from the app's backend. But for Online Store 2.0 theme users, in order to reflect changes to the button, we insist you use theme app extensions by enabling our app in Shopify's theme editor. 

It has the following benefits:

  1. This ensures that there is no conflict between scripts of apps and those of the theme, which in turn provides a more consistent UX across browsers and devices.
  2. This ensures that the app works on the store without modifying the theme. So if the app is uninstalled in the future, you don’t have to manually remove its traces from the theme, unless you'd like to remove the metadata we've added. You may contact our support team at help@hulk-support.com.
